LEAVING TOMBSTONE Territories RV Park – Go West

Leave tomorrow for Gila Bend and Bouse, AZ. The following are photos taken while spending a delightful 3 weeks in this part of the Arizona Desert.

Cactus Caterpillar and a Cactus Crab!
Paid a visit to Woodworkers Source in Tucson. While Elwyn was looking for wood to buy, I took photos of a wood carvers group. One gentleman wanted to be sure his Arizona Wildcats shirt could be clearly seen!

We made several visits to the Sierra Vista Farmers Market. It is a well attended market with a variety of crafters, farmers and food vendors. Our favorite is Chef Scotty of Lasagna & More! We remembered him from two years ago and were so glad to see him here. Have stocked the freezer!

Speaking of food…I do cook and below is the proof, with the exception of the cheese manicotti (which I did bake). The brussel sprouts were a farmers market purchase…yummy. The tortilla chips are made from purchased white corn tortillas. I like to keep them in the fridge for quite awhile before I make chips out of them. The only seasoning used is Mrs. Dash.

We finally drove to Bisbee the other day. Nice drive, and as the elevation is 5300’, there was a dusting of snow on the side of the road just before the tunnel. If you have never been there, do plan to go. We ate at the Copper Queen Hotel and I once again ordered the same sandwich that I had in 2007 and again in 2012. LOVE IT! We spent a lot of time in Bisbee two years ago, so this visit was primarily to eat. But we did find a shop we liked and helped the economy. The hotel is just behind the Historic Mining Museum, which we visited in 2012.

We are thinking that we should have stayed for a month…maybe next year!!!
Take care… and See you on the Road!
