TOMBSTONE, ARIZONA

CLEO:
I now have the place mostly to myself. Seems as though my people have gone somewhere every day. Guess we are going to stay here for some time. They haven't been getting up early...which means my breakfast is delayed somewhat. However, I let them know around 7:00-7:15 that I'm hungry. Usually he feeds me, but this morning she did. When he got up, I convinced him that she shorted me, which she did, so I got a little more from him. I wonder if this will work again...maybe I'll try it.

I don't like the things that they put on their heads when they leave. Haven't a clue as to why, but whenever they have those things on, I feel insecure. I'll run and hide behind the couch every time they come in with them on their heads. They call them 'hats' and tease me by saying, “It's just the 'hat' people...it's okay.” NO...IT'S NOT!

Well that is about all I have to say...so I'm going to take a nap.

E and J:
We have been to Sierra Vista more than we planned to. Elwyn needed to find a Doctor in order to get a certification for his C-Pap machine. Lincare in Brookings really messed things up by not following through with the paper work as they said they would. We were walking out the door for our trip about 12:30 pm (late of course) when we received the call saying he needed a face to face appointment with his Doctor. Needless to say, the mood of the day wasn't going well anyway, and then to get this phone call! He found out that the Doctors Office had just received the fax from Lincare, which they should have sent 2-3 weeks before. It was concluded that when we arrived at our destination Elwyn should find a Doctor to get the certification processed. He got it done, but not quite to Lincare's satisfaction...so this may still be an on going issue. In hind sight, maybe we should have delayed our departure. But on the bright side, we now have a Doctor here too. Needless to say, we are not happy with Brookings Lincare, for several reasons, including this one. The C-Pap machine is helping quite a lot. However, usage isn't as easy as one might expect. Elwyn calls it his 'Halloween Mask.'

Tombstone:
This was the third time we have visited Tombstone. The first was in the late 80's and we remember it well. Hasn't changed much...except they have more tours for Tourist now. There were lots of cars parked and we were expecting lots of activity, but surprisingly the boardwalks were not filled with people, nor were the restaurants or shops. We really enjoyed our afternoon retracing steps we had made before. Found that breakfast was on many menus and we will go back one morning soon. On the way out of town, we stopped at BOOTHILL for a revisit. We were surprised to find the resting place of one Mike Noonan...our neighbor!!! Elwyn of course paid his respects and below are the photographs. The only thing that didn't seem to fit, was that Mike was killed by Indians instead of an irate Poker Player while playing Texas Hold'm!
